Beyonce Beats Kanye West To Be Named The Most Defining Artist Of The Decade

Former Destiny’s Child lead vocalist, Beyonce Knowles has been ranked as the most defining artist of the last five years by Billboard.com.

The 33-year-old hitmaker’s achievements in the first quarter of 2010 and her Super Bowl performance and mini-Destiny’s Child reunion in 2013, aided her leverage as against her closest competitor, Kanye West. She also co-star in the ‘On The Run’ tour with her rapper husband, Jay Z in 2014.

Speaking with on Monday, January 19, 2015, Billboard.com maintained that the position for Beyonce is well deserving, stating that, “Nobody’s perfect, but Beyonce is just about as flawless as they come – and in the 2010s, the rest of the music world was simply trying (and failing) to keep up with her.”

Kanye West came second on the list, with Adele coming third, as Taylor Swift and Drake clinched the fourth and fifth position, respectively.

Others artists who made the top 10 include Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj and Katy Perry.
